Dhikr and a tremendous benefit from the Hadeeth of Fātimah - Shaykh Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr

A tremendous benefit from the statement of the Prophet صلى الله وسلم to his daughter Fātimah

The scholars mentioned a benefit regarding remembrances of Allah that will give a person who makes these adhkaar strength in his body to the extent that a person will be able to do things that he would not be able to do without making them. So he will be given strength in his body.

So the scholars - May Allah have mercy on them - derived this from the Hadeeth of Fātimah (May Allah be pleased with her) when she came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asking for a maid. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said to her: “May I not direct you to what is better than a maid?, you should say when going to bed subhanaAllah 33 times, alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 33 times.

The scholars take from this Hadeeth that whoever is persistent upon this, will be given strength and energy in his body that a maid couldn’t give for ones day. This is because she (Fatimah) asked the Prophet for a maid and he said:

ألا أدلك على ما هو خير لك من خادم

“Shall I not direct you to what is better than a maid”

So the scholars mentioned that saying this remembrance and being consistent upon that will give a person strength is his body to perform his actions that a maid will not be able to....
